About the entry exams at The Faculty of Medecine, St Kliment University

A combined written admission exam has to be passed, consisting of two components — a test in Chemistry, and a test in Biology. The examination is carried out in English. The topics of Chemistry and Biology cover the material taught in secondary school. The duration of the admission exam is four academic hours. Only applicants who have passed both components of the exam are eligible for ranking. The components contribute to the final grade as follows: 50 % Chemistry, 50 % Biology. The applicants can sit for the entrance exam — tests in chemistry and biology in English language once or twice (optional) and they will be ranked on the basis of their results. Ranking will be done in descending order of the grades from the admission exams. For applicants who have passed the exams on the two dates, the higher grade is considered for ranking. The first 50 candidates from the ranking list will be admitted.

About the entry exams at The Faculty of Pharmacy, St Kliment University

A combined written admission exam has to be passed, consisting of three components – a test in Chemistry, a test in Biology, and a test of the English language proficiency. The examination is carried out in English. The topics of Chemistry and Biology cover the material taught in secondary school and the English language skills should allow smooth written and spoken communication with the applicant during the education. The applicants can sit for the exam once in September . The duration of the admission exam is 4 astronomic hours. Only applicants who have passed all three components of the exam are eligible for ranking. The three components (on the condition that they have been passed) contribute to the final grade as follows: 40 % Chemistry, 40 % Biology, 20 % English.

Ranking is done in descending order of the grade from the admission exam.

The first 30 candidates from the ranking list will be admitted. The remaining candidates will be placed on a waiting list. People from the waiting list will be admitted only if someone from the originally ranked candidates declines admission.

Eligible candidates are citizens from EU member states and from non-EU countries with completed secondary education who are entitled to continue their education in a higher education institution. Tuition (each semester) fees have to be paid.
